YOUTH CONNECTING COMMUNITIES

YCC (Youth Connecting Communities) is a program that connects students and community members using technology. YCC intends to meet technology education needs in the Chippewa Falls area by using the talents of our youth and promoting them as leaders in technology. YCC is open to Middle School students from 6th-8th grade and is an activity currently offered as a class through the Voyagers Community Learning Center.

These students prepare, deliver, and evaluate community-training sessions at the Chippewa Falls Middle School, and then the sessions are open to the public. In the past, more than 25 people have attended many of these training sessions, and past evaluations have shown favorable results with comments thanking the students for being patient, courteous and very helpful.

In addition, students involved in YCC may also have the opportunity to be involved in other events allowing them to help faculty, students and parents with technology needs.

If interested in becoming a Youth Member, please contact Doug Ellis at (715) 726-2400 ext. 2431 in the Voyagers Office at the Middle School for more information.
