Principal's Welcome:

Welcome to the website for the Chippewa Valley High School - The Alternative Education Program for the Chippewa Falls School District. The 2016-17 school year will be my 10th as principal at Chippewa Valley High School, and I'm excited about the challenges and rewards associated with helping young people meet their educational potential.  I'm fortunate again this year to work with a talented and caring staff who routinely go the extra mile in helping students find educational and personal success - please know that students who attend  Chippewa Valley High School are in good hands.

As with the start of every new year, goals and priorities are determined to make sure we are continuing to grow as a program and that we continue to serve our students in the best way possible. A focus on literacy continues to be a priority at CVHS. Staff will again work together as a team to teach reading and writing strategies during our 60 minute Literacy Block on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students will then have a chance to practice those strategies in their individual classes. Strengthening individual virtues will also be a high priority during 2016-17. Example of virtues are loyalty, patience, understanding, flexibility, and gratitude. Virtues are at the core of who we are as huma beings - the programming at CVHS will help student leverage the virtues that they are strong in and strengthen the virtues that they need to be successful in school and life.

While this website contains some very good information, it is always a work in progress with new information being added as the school year progresses. Please continue to visit our site to see what new information has been added. Also feel free to call the school office at 723-5542 ext. 6401 with questions, concerns or ideas. E-mail is also an option at schalldp@chipfalls.org.

I'm looking forward to making the 2016-17 school year the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Dave Schaller -  CVHS Principal
