Second Step Curriculum
The Second Step program helps students develop skills, behaviors, and attitudes that will help them in middle school and throughout their lives. These four main themes are interwoven throughout the lessons at each level:

Learning Style Survey
At the beginning of the school year students take a short survey to help them discover how they learn best and how to apply that to their middle school classes.
6th Grade School Counseling Conferences
All parents are encouraged to sign up for a 6th grade school counseling conference to discuss their child's learning style, goals for middle school, assessments, grade point average (GPA), extracurricular activities, and interests.
Protective Behaviors
Students will learn about bullying prevention and buliding positive relationships.
