The Chippewa Area Mentor Program Scholarship was established in 2000 with contributions from community donors. In 2007, the Mentor Program established an Endowment Fund for scholarship donations; ensuring scholarships for program participants for years to come.
The Mentor Program Scholarship is awarded to students who have been mentored for at least one year during their K-12 education, through the Chippewa Area Mentor Program. Students earning a diploma or GED are eligible to apply. The scholarship is available to students attending an accredited technical school, 4-year college or university program. Students can apply for the scholarship up to 3 years after high school graduation (7 years after starting grade 9) or (for GED recipients) by age 22. A brief essay describing the impact mentoring has made on the applicant must be included. The Mentor Program Board of Directors will select the recipient.
