Performance Evaluation

An important component in the School District’s commitment to excellence is the evaluation of staff. All District personnel are evaluated based on the performance of their job duties and responsibilities.

The purpose of evaluation is improve and reinforce the skills, attitudes, and abilities which enable an employee to be effective in educating students and in achieving assigned job goals.

New teachers are evaluated six times during their first three years of employment with the District. Thereafter, teachers are evaluated every three years. In instances of non-performance of duties, a teacher may be recommended for non-renewal.

Hourly staff and all other staff are evaluated yearly, using the same process for similar positions.
