When everyone understands the framework about what makes good teaching, it makes us more efficient and effective.  Within this framework for teaching, teachers have clear expectations spelled out for them and a more objective method of evaluation available to enhance their continued professional growth.  For supervisors, the frameworks allow them to more purposefully work with their staffs to improve instruction and in the final analysis improve student achievement.

This STEPS Portal has been developed as a resource bank for staff to assist them as needed during the evaluation process.
