I am very excited to be your teacher this year! I love exploring the world and learning about different times periods and groups of people. I look forward to getting to know each of my students better and to help them gain a better understanding of the world around them.
Even though I have years of teaching under my belt, this is my second year teaching at Chi-Hi. I graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1995. I am certified to teach Broadfield Social Studies, Psychology, Sociology, and History. I also earned a Masters of Education with an emphasis as a Reading Specialist from UW-EC in 2011. I love working with young adults and helping them make connections to the world around you.
My husband and I are glad we chose to raise our family in Chippewa Falls. We love all being able to get outdoors and enjoy the scenery of Northern Wisconsin, having access to cultural events in the Cities, and the great school system. Both of our boys have enjoyed being Cardinals.
My new passion is to help provide opportunities for students to travel. In 2018, two wonderful educators and myself have created a non-profit organization called WorldWise, Pupils with Passports. Our mission is to help high school students afford opportunities to experience the wonders of travel. So far we have helped students to visit Costa Rica, Peru, and Ecuador.
