OPEN ENROLLMENT: February 6 – 24, 2012
Wisconsin’s Open Enrollment Program allows parents to apply for their child/ren to attend a school district other than the one in which they live.
Students in 5-year old kindergarten to grade 12 may apply to participate in open enrollment. Open enrollment for 4-year old kindergarten and early childhood education is limited. Parents should call Robin Jones at 726-2417 to find out if their preschool-aged child qualifies for open enrollment. Students who are currently attending CFAUSD through open enrollment do not need to reapply (Board Policy 5113).
The open enrollment application period for the 2012-13 school year is from February 6-24, 2012. The application period closes at 4:00 p.m. on February 24, 2012. Late applications will not be accepted for any reason. Applications may be submitted for up to three nonresident school districts.
Parents may apply in one of two ways:
• On-line (recommended) at http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/psctoc.html
• Although on-line application is recommended, paper applications may be obtained from the Department of Public Instruction or any school district. Early application will not be accepted.
A computer will be available at the Chippewa Falls Area School District Administration Office, 1130 Miles Street, for families who do not have access to a computer or would like assistance in completing the on-line application. The computer will be made available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
